A less accurate, due to coloration, representation of the famous female musicians recorded in the tomb of Nakht (TT52) which is located at the foot of the hill of Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, a part of the Tombs of the Nobles, on the West Bank at Thebes. Nakht was a scribe and an astronomer for the Temple of Amun at Karnak. The first musician plays a standing harp, the second a lute and the third a double reed pipe. A sense of moment is relayed by the plucking of the strings and the innovative posture of the lutist who turns her head toward the piper while her upper torso faces frontally. The most notable departure from the original scene is various coloration.
