Blue Vase King Tut Hunting

Tutankhamun in the Garden Vase DP43

A representation of one end of a chest found in the tomb of Tutankhamun, depicting Tutankhamun shooting with bow and arrow wild fowl. He is seated on a chair with a cushion and his feet rest on a cushioned footstool. The queen sits on the cushion in front of him, holding a lotus flower in her right hand and an arrow, ready to pass it to the king, in her left hand. This whole scene portrays the idyllic setting for the king's afterlife.
